CCNW has recently completed a wide range of riverbank revetment and stabilisation works at the Happy Valley Country Park in Bramhall, Cheshire. Happy Valley is a designated nature reserve that is home to a wide variety of habitats and wildlife.
CCNW was able to undertake an ecological walkover survey and Preliminary Ecological Appraisal to check for protected species prior to carrying out the works.
Harvested tree trunks were used to create log jams at the side of the river with Willow Spiling used to control riverbank erosion. The river bed was prepared and Rock Rolls installed to provide a robust banking, providing long-term erosion control, banking support and habitat creation.
